KRA PIN Recovery — Official Routes

1. Forgot the iTax password (the most common case)

1. Go to the iTax login page: itax.kra.go.ke.
2. Click "Forgot password" on the login screen.
3. New credentials are sent to your registered email — usually immediately.
4. Log in and download your PIN certificate: Registrations → your PIN details → download PIN certificate.

2. Company PIN?

Company PINs live under the company's iTax account — the director or an authorised person resets the company login and views the PIN there. Directors' own PINs appear under their individual accounts.

3. Use KRA's official self-service line

KRA's published self-service line can verify your identity (e.g. with your ID number) and help you recover your PIN details:

4. Official email support

If your registered email or phone is outdated, KRA's published process is to email callcentre@kra.go.ke with your PIN and scanned colour copies of your original ID (or certificate of incorporation for companies) for data correction.
